MINUTEMAN BIKEWAY

Allegedly, Albert Einstein thought of his theory of relativity while riding a bicycle. Although the average cyclist is no Einstein, cruising two-wheeled down the streets of Boston generally requires more focus on ways to avoid death by hurtling Toyota than astrophysical musings. The MINUTEMAN BIKEWAY, an 11-mile, tree-lined path running through Cambridge, Arlington, Lexington, and Bedford, replaces cars, potholes, and concrete barriers with joggers, in-line skaters, and lush greenery — perfect for wandering thoughts about the building blocks of the universe. If science isn't your bag, there's plenty of history to contemplate, as the route roughly follows the path Paul Revere took on the 18th of April, 1775.
