With people increasingly getting their music through digital downloads — legally or otherwise — one must wonder why, in this day and age, anyone would want to launch a record store. Yet WEIRDO RECORDS, which opened last year, is still going after expanding its online operation to a brick-and-mortar location. Its focus? Things you can’t get just anywhere, from rare Little Richard LPs to Merzbow. Whatever it is, it’s working, and we’re glad the store’s managed to keep Cambridge as Weird(o) as possible.
