Best Place To Buy a Disgustingly Saucy Vintage Men’s Magazine After 6 pm
BUCKAROO’S MERCANTILE
Here’s a store that knows just how to win its way into our hearts and wallets. BUCKAROO’S MERCANTILE is a tchotchke emporium in the heart of Central Square that’s open until 10 pm on Saturdays (making it the ideal place to kill time before a Middle East show). It’s piled high with one-of-a-kind kitsch: robot-shaped jam jars, motorized Schlitz lamps, vintage lard-recipe pamphlets. But our most prized BuckMerc find yet is a June 1960 issue of All-Man magazine, which profiles both “The Whip Killers of Paris” and “What It’s Like to Have a Harem.”
