Best Place To Appreciate The Derring-Do Of 19th-Century Hero Harry Houdini

Harry Houdini Memorial Plaque

houdini_main

If you’re going to be a magician, then stop trying to impress us by pulling nickels out of the ears of six year olds or guessing which card we chose. If you really want to knock our socks off, tie yourself up with metal chains and jump in a river. That’s what a manacled Harry Houdini did when he flung himself off the Harvard Bridge 102 years ago this spring. Check out the HARRY HOUDINI MEMORIAL PLAQUE erected by the Society of American Magicians as you gaze at the Boston skyline, and try to picture David Copperfield manning up.
