Fried pickles are a staple delight in the better saloons, diners, and gin joints of the old Confederacy — sort of their regional version of the snow belt’s Buffalo chicken wings. Greater Boston is blessed with any number of spots that do them just right, but for our five-spot, the best can be found under the friendly confines of Fenway Park at THE BLEACHER BAR. If you’re lucky enough, you can even eat fried pickles while watching the hometown nine catch an opposing runner in a pickle. That’s a double play worth celebrating.
