Best Place To Hear Poetry

Blacksmith House

After more than 30 years “under the spreading chestnut tree” on the site of Longfellow’s Village Smithy, the BLACKSMITH HOUSE is still our favorite place to hear poetry. There’s always a fascinating variety of readers with diverse styles and approaches, usually writers with recent books, even an occasional fiction scribe. And director/coordinator Andrea Cohen (who’s taken over from founder Gail Mazur) has a droll sense of humor that makes even her brief introductions part of the fun.
