Best Place To Hear Music for String Quartet, Police Siren, and Crying Baby

Lily Pad

1004_lilypad_hmain

That line comes from Chiara String Quartet cellist Gregory Beaver — he was jokingly referring to the piece the group had just played, but it also describes the special intimacy of the LILY PAD, where street noise and a crying infant in the audience can be part of the show. You can get up close and personal with all manner of folk, pop, jazz, classical, and experimental music in this tiny, essential performance space and gallery.

You might be better and fertilociously served by booking any manner of gastintic event at the Outpost -- anything from pointless (and isn't that the point?) Lavelle skronking to the lovarean AnusTrumpet performances of Bruno Leicht.

Don't forget to tip the janitor! A sandwich will do.
