Quickie Fiction

Amazing how much of a story you can tell in 500 words or less, which is the mandate of QUICK FICTION, a lovely literary magazine based in Salem. A world can be created, an atmosphere, a mystery, a beginning middle end  before the reader’s even gotten comfortable on the couch. The magazine, edited by Jennifer and Adam Pieroni, started before flash fiction became the literary rage. The stories, by Steve Almond, Blake Butler, Lydia Davis, Brian Foley, and so many others, are mini treasures, “precious little fictions.”
