Anyone who lives in or around Inman Square adores the area’s tasty eateries, multi-tasking art and music spaces, dimly lit neighborhood pubs, nonpareil boutiques, and crammed vintage bookshops — and selfishly wants to keep all of those places a secret. INMAN OASIS, Phoenix readers’ pick for best massage, is one of those fantastic spots, hidden away near Rosie’s Bakery and Punjabi Dhaba, where Inman residents hoped no outsiders would be able to find it. Somehow, word of its fabulousness leaked out (we blame Rosie’s, for luring the crowds in with their decadent cupcakes). Anomalistic from the normal spa, Inman Oasis is upscale yet affordable (prices start at $50 for a 30-minute massage), with private and public “hydrotherapy” hot tubs, and a friendly staff of miracle-working massage therapists. If a type of massage exists, they’ll do it: Swedish, deep tissue, neuromuscular therapy, pre-natal, and shiatsu. Check it out if you please — but don’t tell anyone we told you.
