Get bent, gender. TRANIWRECK, an all gender, all genre cabaret brought to divine life by Aliza Shapiro (known onstage as Heywood Wakefield) and Truth Serum Productions, is a celebration of all things song and dance and in your pants. Founded in August, 2004, Traniwreck lived at Jacque’s Cabaret for two years, then moved temporarily to Great Scott, finally settling for two years at the Milky Way Lounge before it subsequently moved. Though looking for a new home, Traniwreck - made up of current cast members Heywood Wakefield, Johnny Blazes, Becca D’bus, Frieda Fries, Red Rider, and the newly inducted Kielbasia - is still the undisputed royalty of Boston’s king(and queen)dom.
