Not many barkeeps can stand behind a bar that changes color with the music and retain their street cred. JEN HARVEY, mixology maven at the Back Bay’s 33 Restaurant and Lounge, not only looks cool behind that bar, but she slings one mean cocktail while she’s there. And while the drinks aren’t priced for the Hooverville-esque economy we’re living in, with a drink list this tempting, the splurge is well worth it. Harvey handcrafted the list, which includes a house-made pineapple-and-roasted-peppercorn-infused bourbon that could be the perfect cocktail — deliciously savory with just a hint of fruity sweetness. It leaves you wanting more and more (and, maybe, yet one more). Oh yeah, and that color-changing bar? Made out of 4000 pounds of gunmetal steel. Badass.
