Best Explosive Pizza
Emma's
Dying to see the latest indie flick at Kendall Square Cinema? Stop off first for some spine-tinglingly delicious gourmet pizza at EMMA'S. Set among the square's dweeby backdrop of biotech and IT office buildings, this unassuming shop — originally a place of pizza worship in Revere Beach back in the 1960s — moved to its current location on Hampshire Street several years ago, and has been delighting in-town patrons ever since. While the appetizers and sandwiches are noteworthy, it's the pizza that keeps the crowds coming back for more. And when we say crowds, we mean crowds. Hipsters and yuppies alike routinely pack it in (especially on weekends), putting up with the waits and close (cozy?) quarters. We recommend the No. 3 pizza: baby spinach, roasted sweet potato, caramelized onions, garlic, rosemary sauce, mozzarella, and goat cheese — a true explosion of flavor in every bite. Believe us, your toes will curl.EMMA'S | 40 Hampshire Street, Kendall Square, Cambridge | 617.864.8534 | emmaspizza.com
