Wilbur Theatre
When Comedy Connection owner Bill Blumenreich decided last year to pick up and move the Boston branch of his chuckle hut from the dregs of Faneuil Hall to the historic WILBUR THEATRE, he created an entertainment oxymoron. Stand-up comedy isn't supposed to be upscale; it's supposed to be bawdy and playful and reeking of beer and neurosis. And yet taking in a big-name national act like Robin Williams, Chris Rock, or Jim Gaffigan in this theatrical gem of an auditorium feels like an increasingly rare (in this economy) fancy-pants night on the town. Only funnier, and with less silverware to clang about during the show.THE COMEDY CONNECTION AT THE WILBUR THEATRE | 246 Tremont Street, Boston | 617.931.2000 | thewilburtheatre.com
