There’s no specific reason you’d visit BOUTIQUE FABULOUS. It’s an easily overlooked amalgam of eclectic goods in Inman Square — a place you might wander into after an extra funky sandwich at the All Star Sandwich Bar. Even once you’re there, it’s hard to pin down exactly what you’re dealing with. Kitschy martini glasses commingle with $8 records and handmade jewelry, stained-glass lamps lurk over a gleaming juke box, T-shirts celebrating Cambridge sit neatly on a table, and in the back, a meager collection of vintage negligees hides out in a shady corner. It’s like your great aunt Edna suddenly decided to turn her overstuffed attic into a store — and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Something always catches our eye, be it a green-satin polka-dotted clutch or a woven, electric-purple beret. You never could have imagined wanting it before, but now you have to have it. Perhaps the owners are clairvoyant.
