Snappy Dance Theater

For more than 10 years, the SNAPPY DANCE THEATER has found inspiration in art, science, film, and fashion, and channeled it into thoughtful, innovative, often humorous dance pieces that rattle the artistic cage of contemporary movement. The seven-member company, under the artistic direction of Martha Mason, has traveled the world to showcase its pieces — astonish-ing cocktails of gymnastics, athletics, dance, circus skills, and martial arts. In 2007, Snappy Dance Theater joined forces with an MIT media artist and a BSO violinist to create “String Beings,” a sensory orgy of art and technology.
