GASLIGHT
Some folks just know how to make an entrance. And few entrances are more dramatic than the one at GASLIGHT, whose shadowy brick walkway is bathed in flickering lamplight, emanating from the kind of lanterns you half-expect to see pipe-smoking, cape-wearing Victorians loitering beneath. The scenery inside's no slouch, either. Belly up to their warmly lit zinc bar for one of their signature cocktails — like the Fleur de lis, a knockout made with Parfait Amour violet liqueur. This Aquitaine Group brasserie knows its way around surf and turf — the steak frites are top-notch, and the roasted salmon is mighty toothsome — but pace yourself: you'll want to save some gut-space for that Gateau aux pommes.
