"Anxious Arms" by The Jealous Sound from the album Kill Them with Kindness (2003)

Being nervous, codependent, in love, and filled with the misguided belief that a relationship is somehow the solution to your problems are hallmarks of the emo genre. They’re also the themes that ex-Knapsack frontman Blair Shehan puts forth with passionate conviction on “Anxious Arms.” His heavy-breathing lyrical delivery over a poppy, guitar-driven melody is reminiscent of Jimmy Eat World without getting too downbeat.
