"Misery Business" by Paramore from the album Riot! (2007)

Being the Fleetwood Mac of mid-’00s emo may have been a crazy rollercoaster of backstabbing betrayals and romantic retributions but Paramore have never lacked for material for their soaring anthems because of it. That was never more true than on this, their first big hit. Allegedly having something to do with exes and lying and Livejournal, “Misery Business” treads a line of feeling bad, feeling good, and gloriously not caring.
