Although the Stone Roses debut falls outside of this timeframe, most of the bands here wouldn't have existed without it. The long-awaited follow-up, 1994's Second Coming, didn't reach those heights, but it was unjustly reviled at the time, as this sprawling, shaggy, drug-hazed love song shows.
