"Female of the Species" by Space from the album Spiders (1996)
A loungy beat and a croon you'd expect from a Capitol Records-era Sinatra imitator gives way to one of the more pop-tastic gems from the '90s. It may sound a bit dated now, silly even, but "shock shock horror, horror shock shock horror," still casts a damn appealing spell.
