15. Blur | Parklife
"Parklife" by Blur from the album Parklife (1994)
Perhaps the most "British" track by an already exceptionally British band, Blur tapped Quadrophenia's Phil Daniels for its spoken-word verses. But Damon Albarn's sketch of a cockney day in the life of Colchester earns its nod on the list for its probably sarcastic, but still glorious and uplifting, chorus.
