13. Lush | Ladykillers
"Ladykillers" by Lush from the album Lovelife (1996)
After shoegazing in the early '90s with Ride and My Bloody Valentine, Lush's noise balloon went pop for 1996's Lovelife. The spikiest offering was "Ladykillers," a scathing attack on arrogant dudes and their nightlife pick-up lines with a fiercely vibrant guitar rush as radiant as the red dye in Miki Berenyi's hair. It's Camdentown on high alert.
