3. Blur | Girls & Boys
"Girls & Boys" by Blur from the album Parklife (1994)
What's so amazing about "Girls & Boys" is its ability to sound distinctly Britpop yet remain completely timeless, which is no small feat in this genre. When a DJ drops it today, no matter what part of the world you're in, heads are going to bob and the dance floor fills up - and not just by pogoing kids in tracksuits. Despite the then-burgeoning feud with Oasis, this was more cheery and cheeky than anything the brothers Gallagher could ever come up with, an ode to carefree days on holiday based around a catchy keyboard set to "disco."
