49.Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time

Pop-culture tie-in games generally suck. Yet something about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles — the pizza-eating reptiles who wisecracked their way into our hearts back in the late ’80s — naturally lent itself to video gaming: they were colorful, they were strange, and they battled waves of faceless goons every week. And Turtles in Time showed off some unexpected creativity: the part where you adopt Shredder’s point of view and watch as the turtles throw hapless Foot soldiers at you was crazy. _Ryan Stewart
