Rock Band 2 highlights the transient nature of lists like this. In ‘07, Rock Band would have this slot; if we redid everything next week, Rock Band 3 would probably show up instead. Still, Rock Band 2 was the best and most fully-featured music game when that genre was at its most popular, and its setlist remains the most inspired and diverse. It’s also awesome for parties and a perfect retort to people who think games are only for kids or sociopaths. _Garrett Martin
