With nearly 100 instructors, Lost Valley has one of the largest ski schools in Maine. The mountain is projected to open for the season on Dec 18.

The 12,000-acre preserve includes Saddleback Mountain and Saddleback Lake. Glades and other “free” sking opportunities challenge experts, but plenty of terrain is groomed and smooth for beginner and intermediate skiers. Backcountry cross-country trails available at no charge. Projected opening day is Nov 27.

Last season, Mount Abram began a new policy called "Boundary to Boundary" that increased its skiable terrain from 250 to 650 acres of trails and glades. It also features the longest tubing park in Maine (1325 feet!).
