WHY THEM? Fuzzed-out pop that doesn’t fit neatly into any narrow niche — sometimes they’ll sound like a garage-roots act, sometimes they do New Wave, sometimes they break into a gospel sing-along. But the unifying aspect of it is that it’s all catchy as shit. Rosebuds are a husband/wife duo who seem to really still like each other. And they aren’t overly cutesy (Mates of State!) or precious (Matt & Kim!) — even with overly cutesy, precious song titles like “Nice Fox” and “Hello Darling.”
